Jonathan and Vanessa

Jonathan and Vanessa met through eHarmony. Dating randomly in Manhattan left them feeling like there might never be someone who shared their same values and interests. But after getting to know each other other time they discovered that the match really was true!

They decided on a traditional country wedding in the quaint an pristine seaside town of Kittery Point, Maine at an historic landmark church built in 1730. Friends and family came from all across the US and Europe to share in the nuptuals on that sunny afternoon. All their planning was made from the towering skyscrapers of Manhattan with local vendors to ensure a chic and elegant celebration. Not a single detail was left undone.

They chose summer for their event and decided on true, natural blue flowers to accent the ivory gowns. As the bride walked down the aisle streaming sunlight lit up her face and stunning gold gown. Her all white flower bouquet was decorated with jewels that caught the sunlight and reflected it like tiny prisms across the light blue church walls. Their reception location was at an architectural wonderous place with massive glass windows that reached three stories high looking out into the lush New Hampshire forest. It felt like the outside foliage had come in. With a bird theme in mind we decorated the church and reception hall with tiny nests filled with robin's egg blue Jordan almonds, wrought iron branches table number holders and rustic pottery ivory doves to top the Tiffany blue cake. Every place setting held a single ivory tea rose in a glass vase embellished by blue satin ribbon and silver bells were left at every other place setting to encourage kissing by the bride and groom. Light blue sparkling beverages the bride and groom named "Blue Diamonds" were offered at cocktail hour with delectable hors d' oeuvres followed by an elegant meal including mouth watering traditional New England lobster bisque and filet mignon.

A magnificent chocolate candy bar was set up on shiny silver trays with sheer blue Chinese take-out boxes for guests to fill up and take home. Pretty chocolate brown ribbons with Vanessa and Jonathan's embossed names were attached for securing.

A children's table was set up in the center of the room with all manner of specialty items for the children's amusement and children felt free to come and go throughout meal time safely while their parents watched on.

Family and friends were delighted with the care the bride and groom took to make them feel ultimately pampered and comfortable. Dining and dancing went on into the night and many guests retired to their hotel suite to meet again in the morning for a special bon voyage breakfast hosted by the bride's parents. Jonathan and Vanessa wanted to make their wedding event a weekend to remember and we think they accomplished just that.

Vanessa says:

"From the beginning I had very detailed ideas so to how I wished our wedding to look and how I wanted the flowers to compliment this.

Our wedding colors were chocolate brown and robin’s egg blue. Unfortunately, I was unable to find this distinct color blue for my bride’s maid’s dresses as I had wished. It was Robin’s idea to incorporate the blue into the flowers, since I could not in the dresses.

Robin helped me to make my wedding detailed and personalized through flowers. Flowers were everywhere! The simple, yet elegant table centerpieces looked amazing, yet were no-fuss and inexpensive. The tea roses at each individual place setting combined with the centerpieces gave the impression of many flowers without having the cost of a large amount of flowers. The bird cage that we used for cards she bedecked in a beautiful silk flower garland incorporating some of the kinds of flowers in my bouquet. The cage with the garland was so lovely that it now decorates our bedroom, a beautiful reminder of our special day. Her arrangements complimented the nature theme of our wedding by using flowers that were not too fussy, elegant and most importantly, affordable.

However the most important thing Robin did was make my bridal bouquet just as I imagined it to be. We had trouble finding peonies without pink or red in them but Robin did not give up. She kept searching out new resources for more appropriately colored peonies and in the end, while we did have to order them internationally, I had the white peonies I wanted in my bouquet.

Robin understood how important it was to me to have my bridal bouquet as I imagined it and went out of her way to make it happen. The guests at my wedding were delighted with the lovely décor, the bridesmaids enjoyed their bouquets and I still hear compliments about how gorgeous the flowers were."
